The delivery PIN — your safety net

The 6-digit code that keeps your money safe until you receive your order.

The delivery PIN

Every order on Kampala Snap is protected by a delivery PIN — a 6-digit code only you receive. The seller can't release your payment until you give them the PIN.

How it works

  1. You pay for the order — the money is held in escrow, not sent to the seller yet.
  2. You receive a 6-digit PIN in the app (under My Purchases) and via SMS.
  3. When the delivery person arrives with your item, you give them the PIN.
  4. The seller marks the order complete using that PIN.
  5. Now the money is released to the seller.

Why this matters

If your order never arrives, or arrives wrong, you simply don't share the PIN. The money stays in escrow until either you confirm delivery or you raise a dispute.

Never share your PIN before receiving the item

Don't give the PIN to a seller over WhatsApp or in advance — wait until the item is physically in your hands and you've checked it.
