Solo listings — best practices
Solo listings move fastest when buyers can answer their own questions from your post. A few habits to copy:
Photos
- Take 4–6 photos minimum: overview, two angles, two close-ups of the most asked-about details
- Shoot in daylight against a plain background
- Photograph any wear honestly — surprised buyers cancel
Description
- Lead with what it is and why you're selling
- Include condition (used good, used fair, like new)
- Mention model number / size / measurements
- State whether you can deliver or pickup only
Price
- Look at similar solo listings already up
- Used items go for ~50–70% of new retail in most categories
- Price slightly above your true floor — leaves room to negotiate without going below what you'd accept
Respond fast
Solo listings move quickly — the first interested buyer often closes the deal. Keep your WhatsApp open and reply within an hour or two.
